The Eco StoneClip

This is the definite choice when in that border case job for the tradesperson. If followed the savings are considerable, but you forgo the cavity and full controls over the expansion and movement of the panels of product stuck to the substrate. This job is an internal one and not affected by rain and heat.

This job was priced to the owner on a basis of:

  • Stone Mason ($50 per hour) and labourer ($30 per hour) = $640

  • 1 box of 28mm StoneClips (retail), 56 cuts put in stone panels = $200

  • 1 bag of ceramacrete fix = $20

  • 32 pieces of 600 x 300 x 40mm beau grey sandstone

  • TOTAL PRICE = $860

Fixing cost including StoneClip was $143 per m2 in place, complete for 40mm cladding (costs of sandstone NOT included). This cost to considerably decrease if bigger area's worked.

This costing is actual costing for the purpose of quoting jobs. You add your overheads and profit margin.

When fixing product in Ashlar Bond

When using EcoClip on Stack Bond

When using EcoClip on Stack Bond with 400 x 400mm you only need 1 clip in the middle on top and then you have
2 fixings per panel, plus glue when in place.

When using the adjustable clip with EcoClip, it is suggested that you leave off the lock nuts and thus reducing the cap from 15mm back to 10mm so as to accommodate fix more easily.

Step 1: Blank Concrete Wall

Step 2: First row of panels

Step 3: Second cornerstone & row

Step 4: Fix used with EcoClip

Step 5: Competed Wall

DISCLAIMER: The StoneClips must be installed along the lines of the Engineers Detail, including the installation of angle restraints at each lift level and the use of the right fixing restraints.
